a break is in my near future...
Ok, sorry that last post was so angry.
I'm having a much better day. It's wonderfully overcast and cool (read: 85 instead of 100). So much of this job is deciding to smile through stuff. Reasonable weather is not to be underestimated.
I've been really homesick again lately, probably cause I've been trying to arrange a trip home in a few months. But, I'm getting better. Again.
I think at this point, I'm really starting to look forward to being normal again. Well, I never was normal, but at least people didn't point and stare when I walked down the streets. That, I will not miss. There is plenty, however, that I will miss, and I'm trying to focus on that. And not spending quite so much on phone calls....
In sad news, two of my friends have been asked to leave Peace Corps. They took an illegal day trip to Laos, and admin found out about it when they sent in their passports to get visas. Sad, but really stupid. I'll miss them. These are the first people from our group to leave since training a year and a half ago. We were all saying how amazing it would be if our whole group made it all the way through 2 years of service. Not so. *sigh*
Anyhow. I've avoided work long enough today, and have to go get materials ready for English Camp tomorrow!
6 days and I'll be sitting on the beach with fruity drinks once again to celebrate my friend's birthday; just the girls and our swim suits!
